The Masters is one of the most prestigious and watched golf tournaments on the planet and will be sure to draw a mammoth TV audience when this year’s tournament tees off on Thursday 6th April.

Whether you are a diehard golf fan that spends your Saturday and Sunday mornings trudging around a windswept golf course or just a casual armchair fan there are a host of great apps that you can download to help you stay up to date with all of The Masters action.

From apps that can help you to improve your game to the best places to find the latest Masters odds, we’ve got you covered. Read on to find out what you should be downloading ahead of April 6th.

DraftKings Sportsbook & Casino

When DraftKings first launched over a decade ago they set out with the goal of becoming the best daily fantasy provider in the US. After just 5 years they had succeeded on that front so set their sights on another pursuit, becoming America’s number one online sportsbook.

Many would say they have succeeded on that front too, so if you’re wanting to have a bet on this year’s Masters Tournament the DraftKing Sportsbook & Casino is the best app to have downloaded on your phone.

Featuring all the latest odds, a wide range of statistics and plenty of different ways to bet, it’s the ideal betting companion app.

The Masters Tournament

The official Masters Tournament app is the ideal app to get everything you need to know about the 2023 tournament. From there you can keep up to date with all of the latest news, check the tee times and get live updates to your phone.

One of the standout features of the app is the live streaming facility which allows you to watch all of the live action from Amen Corner.

Golfshot

If you’re the type of person that watches sports tournaments and gets inspired then Golfshot is the ideal app for you. Not only will it provide you with all the latest news and analysis of the famous tournament, but it will also give you all the information you need to take your golf game to the next level.

GolfNow

Speaking of inspiration, if sitting on your sofa and watching The Masters gives you the urge to get on the course yourself, download GolfNow to find your nearest golf course and to book a tee time.

Golf Channel

Whilst The Masters Tournament official app provides you with live streaming coverage, it doesn’t quite bring the same level of detail and analysis as the excellent Golf Channel app.

Featuring live streaming coverage with excellent punditry, the Golf Channel app also brings you the latest news and opinion from former pros and the experts.

Three to Watch at This Year’s Tournament

Now that you know which apps to have downloaded on your phone to keep abreast of all the action The Masters has to offer, let’s take a look at three of the main runners and riders for this year’s tournament.

Jon Rahm

The 28-year-old Spaniard is currently third in the PGA Tour and with a lot of bookmakers is the favourite to take the famous Green Jacket at Augusta. In his six appearances at Augusta so far, Rahm has performed pretty well.

On his last outing and his debut in 2017 he finished 27th, fitting in a 4th, 7th, 9th and 5th place finish in between, perhaps 2023 could be the year he adds a 1st to that list.

Rory McIlroy

Holywood born Rory McIlroy was supposed to sweep all contenders aside when he first appeared on the gold scene in the late noughties. Unfortunately for the Northern Irishman he hasn’t quite been able to live up to those rather unfair expectations.

The Masters has long been seen as the Holy Grail for Mcilroy and he looked to have cracked it last year before ultimately finishing 2nd. This year the bookmakers have him as second favourite, could he prove them wrong and go one better?

(It was a case of close but no cigar for Rory Mcilroy last year at The Masters.)

Scottie Scheffler

The 25-year-old American will certainly have the support of the home crowd if he is to face off against either Mcilroy or Rahm for the Green Jacket. It wouldn’t be surprising if he did either as the Texan has been in superb form since rising from world number 13 in 2022 to world number 1.
